I was going to make a Lemon Drizzle cake – but …

A note to the supplier accompanied by a photograph and a refund was posted to my account.

It was the warmest day of the year so far.

Too hot for crochet

So no progress on this.

And it was a lovely evening.

What a beautiful day!

A gentle breeze. Just enough to keep humidity at bay.

The shadows were strong – even through dirty windows. No Bird’s here – but the leaves made confusing shadows.

This is a new Robin. Hope it’s a new resident.

And we are sporting a Robin coloured tomato – at last! More to come.

A family birthday too – a good day to celebrate.

Not that long ago we would have accepted the current weather as British Summer weather! A couple of hot summers and we consider them our right.

A good mix of sun and rain is what gives us the rich green foliage and wide variety of flora that we enjoy.

Humble ground cover –

Magnificent colour and perfume –

And the promise of fruit to come.

What more could we ask? Let’s just enjoy the summer and not worry about the weather’
