A borrowed view – it will be a while before I see it again.

Dry and warm – in fact, a real summer day.

An unexpected self-seeding

And something awaiting collection? Espied on my walk.

Summer has returned.

We are feeding another neighbours’ cat this week. He was waiting for us.

Fortunately we aren’t babysitting the family dog at the same time. We did, however, celebrate a teenage birthday. I think he wanted cake!

At last – a proper golden rose.

We had a fun walk today – with company.

It was good to be out in the countryside.

Purple Vetch always reminds me of my grandparents.

Spotted …. The first blackberries of the season.

After early rain it was mild and comfortable.

And grandson made us cake!
Delicious 😋

Looking north.

Looking east!

Part of the day was spent elderly cat sitting again. It’s always interesting to see another’s view.

These flowers often herald the end of summer. I wonder …

The orchids have sprung into life!
