Looking north

Looking east at the same time of day.

No watchers this morning. Do you think they knew it was going to rain?

It did! With a vengeance at times.

An excuse to finish this

An excuse to finish this

A passable day, weather-wise

Not a drop of rain here, but flooding in parts of the country.

The Rowan continues to ripen. It won’t be long before the berries are red.

We had a delicious afternoon tea.

And the second flush of roses made its appearance.

Joining continues too.
This morning there was time to finish the last temperature square for July. That strip is now complete.

Who knows what August has in store. No point in looking at the long range forecast – it can change in a puff of wind.

The sun was in evidence, but we did have a couple of heavy showers.

A gift of red roses today. Something special.

Not much to report today. Most of it was spent at a scheduled hospital appointment for a family member.

No watchers today. The wind was strong. I think they were hiding.

Aren’t these colours glorious? Just a few short days ago these plants were decimated by unwelcome snails. We managed to save them – what a result!
