Rain fell overnight leaving droplets like diamonds around the garden

It’s surprising what you can see when you go for a walk

And the cat waits to be fed.

A sunny day. I walked into town

Twenty minutes there … twenty minutes back. I was tempted to use the middle twenty to count the number of shops closed and gone due to Covid, but it was too depressing. The idea was abandoned.

Today’s End of Lockdown is done. Next bread was the order of the day

Crusty and delicious it was served with our family version of Tartiflette and green salad.

Once into the oven and golden brown it’s delicious

The Rowan looks stunning against the blue of the sky

It isn’t just us that enjoys the sun

The perfect day for a walk along the canal.

The first of the iris in bloom.

And the tiniest cloud just to remind us that anything is possible as far as weather is concerned!

An unusual start to the day. Hazelnut spread with banana – in a croissant. Very sweet. A little too sweet for my taste but enjoyed by the rest of the household. Served fresh from the oven of course.

A beautiful sunny day – good for walking.

Blackthorn! Does that explain the frosts? Have you heard of the Blackthorn Winter? I’m sure Google has….
