A beautiful sunrise heralded a blue sky day.
It was so pleasant we walked into town – about 3 miles there and back. It was fairly deserted. Many shops closing too.
Home just in time for a planned delivery.
Special pies, hubby’s favourites from childhood. They took some tracking down.
And I finished a blanket. It’s for sale – let me know if you are interested.
A pleasant start to the day
A met office warning of thunderstorms was retracted! And it was pleasant enough for a walk with the family.
Paths that wind this way and that!
This was followed by a delicious dinner – such a treat to have a meal cooked for me.
The dog was worn out – even if we weren’t!
Eagle-eye was up early. So was I.
We had a journey to celebrate a 5th birthday.
Very important.
Presents were many and varied.
There was also nearby entertainment.
Who could resist a ride?
(Actually, I could!)
And there was something for the older visitors too.
There was also cake!
It was delicious!
Lots of sun and shadows today.
I visited a friend and walked under beech trees laden with nuts.
Underfoot was a crunchy carpet of remnants left by squirrels!
It was a peaceful walk, apart from an interruption by an extremely noisy motorcycle!
