A slightly different aspect for this tree today. I was standing next to the cotoneaster – a shrub with tiny, insignificant flowers. The bees love it and it was positively buzzing today.

I’d been to check on the raspberries – but they are very slow this year.

On Thursday we check with the neighbours to make sure all is ok. We’ve done it all through lockdown, and it will continue. Today some of the older ones were reminiscing….

If you are too young this will mean nothing whatsoever!

BLUE SKY!

It wasn’t just us that enjoyed it.

The Philadelphus looks good – a better glimpse today.

And the yellow patio rose is doing well too.

Food delivery today. Such helpful chaps! Thank you Sainsbury’s.

Watched the funniest action movie I’ve seen in ages – London Has Fallen! If you like a believable film … don’t bother! However, for a touch of amusement it won’t fail. (Just make sure you have a crossword or sudoku to hand in case you get bored!)

The longest day! Grey and cold!! I even considered turning on the central heating….

It rained too – but dad brought this little fledgling to feed. I watch their antics through this window on most days.

Another square completed for the temperature blanket, and something along the same lines begun as shown below.

First nine complete – a few more needed!
