A sunny day. I walked into town

Twenty minutes there … twenty minutes back. I was tempted to use the middle twenty to count the number of shops closed and gone due to Covid, but it was too depressing. The idea was abandoned.

Today’s End of Lockdown is done. Next bread was the order of the day

Crusty and delicious it was served with our family version of Tartiflette and green salad.

Once into the oven and golden brown it’s delicious

Not that long ago we would have accepted the current weather as British Summer weather! A couple of hot summers and we consider them our right.

A good mix of sun and rain is what gives us the rich green foliage and wide variety of flora that we enjoy.

Humble ground cover –

Magnificent colour and perfume –

And the promise of fruit to come.
What more could we ask? Let’s just enjoy the summer and not worry about the weather’

It was an early start today. An appointment beckoned.

A walk along the lanes and alleys was required.

Back home the Rowan is now sporting green berries. We will watch them change over the next few months.

The clouds passed over, and blue skies prevailed.
