Not that long ago we would have accepted the current weather as British Summer weather! A couple of hot summers and we consider them our right.

A good mix of sun and rain is what gives us the rich green foliage and wide variety of flora that we enjoy.

Humble ground cover –

Magnificent colour and perfume –

And the promise of fruit to come.
What more could we ask? Let’s just enjoy the summer and not worry about the weather’

An early phone call from an elderly neighbour woke the household.

Had we got a power-cut?
The answer was ‘No’, so thankfully it was just her ‘trip’ switch that was causing her problems and everything was soon sorted for her.

Evidence of overnight rain explains the lushness of the garden.

Summer means a garden jungle.

I love the lush foliage.

It’s been a sunny day

And a walk to the shop was in order.

Walking along roads isn’t perfect

But roads lead to the shop.

Sadly – walking also involves negotiating pavement cycling yobs!
